Distance Education (Online Classes)

Pearl River Community College offers online classes through the Mississippi Virtual Community College (MSVCC). The MSVCC is a consortium composed of all 15 community and junior colleges in the state. Courses taught by PRCC instructors and approved courses taught by other colleges are part of the PRCC Local Course Offerings for each semester. (Summer 2008 Online Classes; Fall 2008 Classes)

This form of instruction is not for every student, and you should carefully consider whether online classes are right for you. An online student is: self-motivated, responsible, independent, and organized. It is imperative that you have a personal computer at home and that you check your class and your email daily. Review the information in How to Enroll as you make your decision about enrolling in online courses.

Be mindful of the fact that once a student logs into an online class, tuition is not refunded.

LAST DAY TO WITHDRAW FROM A SPRING 2008 ONLINE CLASS WAS MARCH 28, 2008.

  • Summer day classes begin May 27, 2008.
  • Summer night classes begin May 20, 2008.
  • Summer semester ONLINE classes begin June 2, 2008.

Before registering for a class, please view your PRCC e-mail account information by logging into Wildcat Web. (Wildcat Web directions.)

Notice!

**DON'T GET BURNED!!**

Effective Summer 2008, schedule change requests for online classes will be assessed a fee of $13. Each form submitted for either a schedule change or withdrawal will be charged a $13 schedule change fee. This fee will be applied to the student's account at the time the change is made in the Office of Extended Education & Instructional Design.

In order to minimize schedule changes, make an appointment with your advisor PRIOR to registering for classes.
