READI Distance Learning Readiness Assessment.
It will take just 25 minutes to complete and must be completed before
applying for
an online program.
The scores from your assessment will not prevent you from applying
foronline programs.
This web-based tool assesses your likelihood for succeeding in an online
learning
program. READI indicates the degree to which you possess attributes that
contribute
to success in online learning, including:
- Self-motivation
- Time Management Skills
- Self-discipline
- Persistence
- Availability of Time
- Reading Comprehension
- Ability to use a laptop,
printer, software and the Internet
READI uses a sequence
of activities to measure the degree to which you possess
the traits needed for success in studying at a distance and provides immediate
score
and diagnostic interpretation of results to you.
READI includes five major assessment components that measure:
- Reading Comprehension
- Technical Competency
- Individual Attributes
- Preferred Learning Styles
- Typing speed and accuracy

READI helps you to recognize your strengths and provides resources to

your weaknesses.
Other Features
Reporting - Each potential student who takes READI receives immediate
feedback
in the form of an individualized report that shows his/her score for each
of the
various READI components.
Solutions - If the instrument determines that a user is not ready
to study at a
distance, links to potential remediation resources are provided.
If
you have never taken an online course before, you MUST complete the READI
assessment before your online registration will be completed by the Office
of Extended Education.
