The Business Administration curriculum is recommended for students who intend to transfer to a four-year institution and earn a Baccalaureate degree in one of the following areas: Accounting, Banking and Finance, Business Administration, Economics, Real Estate, Insurance, International Business, Management, Management Information Systems, Financial Information Systems, and Marketing.
Accounting courses are part of the Business Administration curriculum. Students who transfer to the four-year colleges or universities can earn a Bachelor of Accountancy Degree or a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration Degree with an accounting emphasis. Mississippi and other states have adopted the 150-hour requirement to become eligible to sit for the CPA examination.
Economics courses are also a part of the Business Administration curriculum. Economics is the scientific study of how people make choices concerning the use of society's scarce resources.
